AI interviews for real signal

Resumes are broken. Your hiring doesn't have to be.

Taffy replaces first-stage resume screening with AI-powered interviews - so you finally evaluate real candidates, not optimized PDFs.

Web screening

Live transcript

Taffy: Hi there! I'm Taffy, and I'll be your interviewer today. Before we dive in, I just want to check in—are you ready to start the interview?

Alex: Yes, I'm ready to get started.

Taffy: Great to hear! Let's get started. Tell me about a recent web project you worked on and the technologies you chose.

Taffy integrates with 60+ of the world's most popular ATS platforms in just a few clicks.

The problem

There's an arms race happening in your inbox.

Applicants are using AI to write resumes designed to beat your ATS.

Your ATS scores them highly. They're not qualified.

And the volume keeps growing, while your time doesn't.

Resumes were never the signal. They just used to be the only option.

Hiring in three steps.

You set the rules. Taffy does the screening. You make the call.

Competency

A competency is the core skill or behavior you want to evaluate for this role.

Scoring guide

You define the signals of a strong response once, and Taffy scores every candidate against those same signals.

Breaks down a technical decision using simple words and a clear real-world example.
Connects the choice to user impact (speed, reliability, or usability) in non-jargon terms.

Interview question that assesses this competency

"Tell me about a technical decision you made recently, and explain it the same way you would explain it to a non-technical teammate."

What changes when you use Taffy.

Stop screening resumes before the real work starts.

You invite applicants to a Taffy interview. They complete it on their own time, and by the time you sit down, each candidate is scored against your rubric with transcript evidence. Not a stack of resumes. Actual signal.

Resumes show what they wrote. Interviews show how they think.

Your team sets the questions. Taffy asks them, listens, and follows up when answers are vague - so you evaluate job-specific skills and communication, not a document optimized to pass a filter.

Every candidate gets the same interview. Every time.

No unconscious bias in who gets a shot. No scheduling back-and-forth. Every applicant gets the same structured conversation and is evaluated on what they say, not how their resume looks.

Why we built this

Before we thought about hiring, we were the ones being hired.

We are three computer science and AI graduates from Boston University. We graduated into a job market where the advice was "optimize your resume for the ATS" and "use AI to get past the filters." Workshops on how to beat a system. Tools designed to fool a tool.

We followed the playbook everyone handed us. And the whole time, we kept thinking if this feels this broken from our side, how must it feel for the people actually trying to hire?

So we built Taffy. Not to replace recruiters, not to automate hiring into a black box but to give the people doing the work a way to actually find the people worth hiring.

We're building Taffy with the teams who feel this most.

We're in early access — which means if you book a demo, you're not just seeing a product. You're helping shape one. We'd love to show you what we've built and hear what would make it work for your team.

Let's talk

Questions we'd ask if we were you.

Every week without Taffy is another week of resume roulette.

Book a demo — no pitch, no pressure. Just a conversation about your hiring and whether we're the right fit.
